Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki are two authors who have delved into the manga world in their own ways. Their careers crossed in the early 10’s when they were involved with the editorial staff of Shonen Jump on their flagship project: food wars. That was done, now it’s time for another manga.
The end of Food Wars allowed the duo to focus on something else, and after a few minor staples with some self-contained chapters, they’re now ready to get back together, always in the same magazine. Weekly Shonen Jump has announced four brand new manga, including the new series from the authors of Food Wars, titled Tenmaku cinema.
This will also be the first of the four to compete, and hence Tenmaku Cinema will make its magazine debut on Monday April 10th, while it will be available from Sunday April 9 at 17:00 on Manga Plus, which is now common for the works of this publisher. With the official publication of the magazine, the first images of the series were shown.
The preview of Tenmaku Cinema seen below is a blue-haired boy in school uniform consisting of a white shirt and blue tie, and an all-white woman, with a blinding red eye and a birthmark under her left eye. As the name suggests, Tenmaku Cinema will focus on the world of cinema and in fact the protagonist will have recording tools, a smartphone and a microphone with them.
The protagonist’s name is Hajime and he has a passion for cinema, so it could be another work with few action elements but still very shiny in Food Wars style. And what do you expect from the new series by the two authors?
