On the official page for the Original Anime Studios Madhouse, Sora yori mo Tooi BashoThe launch of a Blu-ray BOX package has been announced for March 24, 2021 in Japan. The package includes all episodes and costs 22,000 yen (about $ 211).

The thirteen episode original series premiered during the 2018 winter season, particularly January 2018. It has also been announced that it will air in Japan on January 3, 2021 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV.

Synopsis of Sora yori mo Tooi Basho

Filled with an overwhelming sense of wonder at the world around her, Mari Tamaki has always dreamed of what lies beyond the limits of the universe. Despite his great aspirations inside, his fear of the unknown and fear of his own possible limitations has always prevented him from pursuing them. But now, in her sophomore year of high school, Mari is more determined than ever not to waste her youth. Even so, his fear continues to prevent him from taking this ambitious step forward until he has a chance encounter with a girl who also has her own big dreams.

Due to the disappearance of her mother, Shirase Kobuchizawa worked hard to fund her trip to Antarctica. Despite the doubts and ridiculousness of almost everyone, Shirase is determined to embark on this expedition to look for her mother in the most remote place on earth. Inspired by her determination, Mari takes the opportunity to join her.
