Funimation unveils a selection of Overlord’s Latin Dub

The platform via his official Twitter account Funimation released a promotional video with an example of the synchronization of the anime adaptation of Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-am, Overlord.

The platform will be launched in Mexico and Brazil in December this year. The series will also be available in its original language with Spanish subtitles. Maruyama and so-bin in turn publish the light novels through the publisher Kadokawa since July 2012. The publisher published the fourteenth volume on March 14th. The work inspired a manga adaptation of Satoshi Oushio and illustrated by Hugin Miyamawho published it in the magazine Comp Ace from Kadokawa Verlag since November 2014.

The novels inspired three seasons of the thirteen-episode anime adaptation that were produced by the studios. Madhouse Headed by Naoyuki itou and scripts written by Yukie Sugawara, published in July 2015, January 2018 and July 2018, respectively.

Synopsis of Overlord

The last hour of the popular virtual reality game Yggdrasil has arrived. However, Momonga, a powerful wizard and master of the dark guild of Ainz Ooal Gown, decides to spend those last moments of server activity in his guild. To his surprise, despite the clock that strikes midnight on his UI, Momonga is still fully aware of his character, and besides, the NPC characters seem to have developed personalities!

Faced with this unusual situation, Momonga orders his loyal servants to investigate this new world and take control of it, hoping to find out what happened and whether there might be other players in the same situation as him.
