Madhouse Studios Releases Monster Strike Animated Short

Animation studios Madhouse and XFLAG released an animated short film based on the XFLAG smartphone game, Monster Strike. The short is titled "Zetsubou Funsai Shoujo Amida," and includes the voice actress. Megumi Han as the protagonist Amida, as well as the song β€œNO NAME” performed by the band Kane yori Masaru.

Production team

  • Daiki Harashina (Boogiepop wa Warawanai, Chihayafuru 3) was in charge of directing the short film in the studios Madhouse, and storyboards, character designs, and animation direction are also credited.
  • The producer Teppei Sunamura, the concept of history and creative direction are credited.
  • Harue Ono was in charge of coloring, under the artistic direction of Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama.
  • Akane Fushihara was in charge of the cinematography and Shigenori Hirozumi took over the 3D direction.

About Monster Strike

The first season of 52 episodes based on the Monster Strike franchise premiered in October 2015. The first part of the second season premiered in April 2017 and aired until September 2017. The second part featured thirteen episodes and premiered. in October 2017, under the title Monster Strike the Anime: The Fading Cosmos.

The third season premiered in July 2018 and featured twelve episodes. A series of parallel arc episodes were subsequently released, until the final arc titled Monster Strike: End of the World premiered in November 2019.
