While we wait for the beginning of the era of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in the TCG dedicated to Game Freak’s pocket monsters, today comes a new set straight from Japan Products dedicated to the eighth generation of the Pokémon TCGand specifically the characters from Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
As you can see from the image gallery at the bottom of this news, The Pokémon Company has actually announced two Special sets for Clan Diamente and Clan Perla of the Nintendo Switch game dedicated to Pokémon Primevo. Each of the two sets will be available exclusively at Pokémon Centers of Japan starting December 2, 2022 for the modest price of 5,000 yen.
In each set we find four packs of the VSTAR Universe set of the Pokémon OCG (ie the Japanese version of the trading card game), a set of 64 sleeves themed “Diamond Clan” or “Pearl Clan” respectively, an album and even a display frame in which to put your rarest ones. The frames are inspired by Damon and Perula, the two leaders of their respective teams in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
There are two distinctive features of the collection set: the first, without going around too much, are the beautiful illustrations for the products, which could tempt any Pokémon TCG collector and player who has been exploring the lands of Hisui for the past few months. The second, however, is that the set will allow Japanese players to preview the VSTAR Universe set that was published in the Rising Sun in December.
Unfortunately, it is currently unclear whether i Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan Collector’s Set will never arrive in the west: look at that publication Limited only to Pokémon centers even in the mother country, however, the possibilities seem slim. The cards contained in the VSTAR Universe expansion, on the other hand, can be found in the two expansions Silver Storm and Regal Zenith of the Pokémon TCG.
