By a statement from the European publisher KAZE revealed that the publication for the manga adaptation of the light novels Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka (DanMachi), Version illustrated by Kuniedawas canceled in Japan. An official statement from the editor is expected Square enix who are responsible for the distribution of the manga in the Japanese country.


This adaptation was released in Japan in 2013. Volume 10 was released in June 2018 and was also the last to be released prior to this announcement.

A new manga adaptation drawn by Taisei Yamachi and starting with the arc of Haruhimewas published in the Japanese magazine Young gangan since December 2019.


The original light novels are from Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. Both began their release under the label in January 2013 GA Bunko from the publisher SB Creative. The publisher published the 16th volume on October 15th. The third season of his anime version is currently running.

Danmachi synopsis

Life in the city of Orario is never boring, especially for Bell Cranel, a naive young man who hopes to become the greatest adventurer in the world. After a chance encounter with the goddess Hestia, his dreams come a little closer to reality. With their support, Bell embarks on a fantastic quest in the city's monster-filled catacombs known as the "Dungeon". Death lurks at every corner of the cavernous depths of this terrible maze.
