The from Weekly Shonen Leap it’s tough competition. The publisher is known for dropping series in a matter of weeks, only to make room for others that could become hits, in an endless cycle that has engulfed many writers. And he’s about to do it again considering there will be changes between these sites soon.

After the cancellations of Kokosei Kazoku and PPPPPP, the magazine has not started any more series in the past few months. Now, however, there are some important news that have emerged from the first leaks that have been published on the net. As a matter of fact, Four new manga appear on Weekly Shonen Jump in the coming months, between April and May.

  • Issue #19 (April 9, 2023): Tenmaku Cinema by Shun Saeki and Yuto Tsukuda;
  • Issue #20 (April 16, 2023): Kiruao by Tadatoshi Fujimaki;
  • Issue #23 (May 7, 2023): Dri Tri by Jun Kirarazaka;
  • Issue #24 (May 14, 2023): Nue no Onmyouji by Kawae Kouta.

It starts with the writers of Food Wars: Shun Saeki and Yuto Tsukuda are back again with a series that this time seems to be cinema-focused. So it could be another Shonen fight with an alternative context, always waiting for different information. It continues with Tadatoshi Fujimaki, Author of Kuroko’s Basketwhich contains Kiruao.

Also back is Jun Kirarazaka, a young hopeful who had no luck with his first series on Jump, Bone Collection. Finally, it’s the turn of newcomer Kawae Kouta, who appears to be bringing an exorcist manga. In the meantime Weekly Shonen Jump canceled Tokyo Demon Bride Story and it looks like Ginka & Gluna is also coming to an end. Basically, as with the manga at the end of 2022, several important authors will return. What can we expect from the upcoming series of Weekly Shonen Jump?
