On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (This time I was reincarnated as a slime) a new promotional video for the next feature film in the franchise to be titled has been unveiled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Movie: Guren no Kizuna-hen. The press release confirmed that the premiere remains scheduled for next November 25th in theaters in Japan while crispy roll will distribute it in Latin America in 2023.
The official synopsis writes:
- In Raja, a small country west of Tempest, a long-running conspiracy swirls around a mysterious power known as the "Queen". When a demon-turned slime named Rimuru Tempest crosses paths with Hiiro, a survivor of the ogre race, an amazing adventure full of new characters begins. The power of bindings will be put to the test!
The press release also revealed new voice actors who will play the original characters from this film, including:
- Rico Fukumoto as Towa, Queen of Raja who has mysterious powers.
- yuma uchida as Hiiro, a survivor of the ogre race.
- subaru kimura as Lacure, a traveling salesman visiting Raja's country
The first season of the anime adaptation was produced by the studios 8 bitsLed by Yasuhito Kikuchi and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasuand premiered in October 2018. The second season was directed by Atsushi Nakayama and aired in two halves in January 2021 and July 2021 in Japan.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Summary
Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical corporate employee who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, apart from the fact that he has never had a girlfriend in his life. During a chance encounter with his colleague, he falls victim to a mugger and is stabbed to death. However, as he succumbs to his injuries, a strange voice echoes in his head, reciting a series of commands that the dying cannot understand. When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unknown realm. In the process, he gains new abilities, most notably the power to devour anything and mimic his looks and abilities.
Next, he stumbles upon the catastrophically sealed monster "Storm Dragon" Veldora, which has been sealed against rampaging through a city for the last 300 years. Understanding his situation, Satoru befriends him and promises to help him destroy the seal. In return, Veldora gives him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now freed from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he adjusts to his new physique, his sticky antics spread around the world, gradually changing his destiny.
