Written on the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels by Tapei Nagatsuki, Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsuthe production of a new spin-off anime titled "Re:Zero: Starting a magical girl's life (Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou Musume Seikatsu)β and that will make the characters stand out Aries and Rem. The production describes the synopsis as follows:
- Ram and Rem star in this new spin-off of Re:Zero. On their way home from club activities, twins Ram and Rem are suddenly transported to another world where they gain magical girl powers. In order to protect their loved ones and find their way back to their original world, the girls are exposed to great threats.
In addition to the promotional image, the character designs for Aries and Remas well as Subaru Natsukia senpai from the same club they belong to at school, and Emily, an exchange student who came from abroad. It is also shown Roswaal-senseithe English teacher of the same institute.
Tapei Nagatsuki began publishing the novels independently through the service Shoutsuka ni Narou in April 2012, and later the publisher Kadokawa began its publication on paper with illustrations by Shinichirou Ootsuka in January 2014. A total of two seasons and a variety of OVAs were produced for the anime adaptation, all in the hands of the studios. WHITE FOX. A third season is in production.
Synopsis for Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
Subaru Natsuki leaves the store and finds himself in a bustling city inhabited by humans and demi-humans alike. The city that uses kites and carriages for transportation is obviously not the modern Japan he knows. However, as someone who spends his days immersed in comics and games, Subaru expects to be a protagonist in this new fantasy world, wielding ultimate magical powers. Unfortunately, that's not the case and things quickly go awry when he encounters a group of thugs. Luckily, a silver-haired beauty named Satella comes to his aid as she searches for her stolen badge.
In exchange for his kindness, Subaru offers to help him search, which eventually leads them to a boot shop. Believing the token was exchanged for money, Subaru enters the store hoping to negotiate with the owner about the stolen item. To her surprise, however, it is not the badge that awaits her, but a brutal assassin who leads the two to their deaths. But instead of waking up in the afterlife, Subaru is shocked to be alone in the middle of the day, as if he hadn't left town at all. So his life begins mysteriously in another world for the second time.
