Pokémon: Charizard becomes more threatening in a beautiful fanart

Pokémon is one of the most profitable brands in the world, with thousands of gadgets and dedicated objects, anime, manga and of course also video games, in short a series of merchandise managed both directly by The Pokémon Company and by Creatures Inc., which has recently organized a illustration contest for the collectible card game.

On the occasion of the new generation, introduced with titles Sword and Shield Pokémon, in fact, this company has proposed fans of portable monsters to create illustrations, following precise rules.

All participants were supposed to play a Pokémon chosen from Charizard, Pikachu, Tyranitar, Milotic, Lucario, Genesect, Wishiwashi and, the legendary eighth generation, Zacian. Moreover the pokémon chosen had to be inserted in a wooded or purely urban environment, probably to underline the difference present in the Galar region, where nature and factories are omnipresent.

User @gomi_kuzu_tarou wanted to recreate Charizard in a very particular way. By proposing a design with a unique and incredibly detailed style, the pokémon in question appears much more threatening than the original artwork, especially for its glazed look, and in a mountainous setting.

However, it remains a well-made illustration, which however did not arrive among the finalists of the contest organized by Creatures. You can find the drawing at the bottom of the page. The same artist had also participated in the previous competition, proposing the Pikachu that you can see in the post at the bottom of the news.

We also remember that numerous spoilers have emerged on the net regarding the next episodes of Pokémon Explorations. What do you think of these illustrations? Would you like to see them on an official Pokémon card? Tell us yours in the comments below.
