ONE PIECE has reached the important milestone of the 100th volume, and various initiatives have been organized for the celebrations, including a live-action miniseries illustrating the work’s impact on readers’ lives and the immense drawing that comes with the covers of numbers 99, 100 and 101 with Big Mom, Luffy and Kaido.
On the occasion of the publication of volume 100, the author Eiichiro Oda also designed a magnificent poster. Portrayed the illustration in question entitled “100 Great Pirates Views” the 50 most popular characters from the entire pirate epic, decided by a global survey conducted between January and February 2021. Although parts of the design have been revealed in the past few months, it is only now that the spectacular end result has been shown, which you can see in the WSJ_Manga post at the bottom of the page.
Naturally in the center is the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, surrounded by the Mugiwara and very close to his close friends Ace and Sabo. The emperors Kaido, Big Mom, Shanks and Blackbeard cover the four corners of the poster, while in the upper middle part the face of Gol D. Roger dominates all characters. It is interesting to note that Yamato and Kozuki OdenHer characters, introduced to the series relatively recently, have already managed to capture millions of fans.
Lastly, remember that the ONE PIECE manga is paused and we’re leaving you previewing episode 992, which will see a major character making his debut.
