Synopsis for Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni

Long ago there were two neighboring nations who got along badly: “Your nation’s grass comes into mine every day.” “The sound of futons being banged around in your country is annoying.” They argued about boring topics like this. They ended up going to war over the dog shit incident and in the confusion the gods intervened and brokered a truce between the minds of the two nations. This is what they said: country A will send the most beautiful girl in the country to country B, and country B will send the smartest boy in the country to country A, and they will both get married.
