It doesn’t often happen that protagonists develop in certain ways. However, it happened in Jujutsu Kaisen, as Gege Akutami did not make it easy with the severity of events. The mangaka has completely changed its world by pursuing the protagonists in a seemingly one-sided challenge, with death as the only goal.

And Yuji and Megumi had to take part in the Extermination Game, which the name alone promises to be brutal. To do this, however, the two had to adapt to the new reality: Yuji Itadori bears the brunt of Sukuna’s victims and besides, he seems to have decided to only play the pawn, the cogwheel, as he impassively explains to Hakari. His will seems to be iron and is starting to get a lot less scruples than in the past.

At the same time, who has completely lost her scruples is Megumi Fushiguro. While good, Fushiguro has always put the health and safety of tsumiki above all else. His words in Jujutsu Kaisen 161 do not betray any sympathy in order to point out the increasingly subtle differences to Yuji. In fact, Fushiguro has stated that he will be ready to kill people, civilians and non-civilians to get 100 points if necessary.

A transformation that could lead to more bloody phase of Jujutsu Kaisen and that could make the Shibuya saga a simple starter to something even heavier.
