On the official page for the original anime Fuji TV and studying ZEXCS, Beacons !! (Return !!), a promotional image was released for the project’s next animated film, which is scheduled to premiere in cinemas in Japan in the spring of 2022 (April-June). The picture was made by Robico, Character designer of the project.
The anime hosted an event (streamed to people who bought the first Blu-ray / DVD package) in Japan on October 9th, where the movie date and visual for this note were revealed. The cover art for the third Blu-ray / DVD package has also been revealed, which includes a pass to another upcoming live event and a drama CD.
From the end of October, the anime will be launched with the city of Iwanuma as part of the βAnime hometown taxβTo support local areas. People who donate to the initiative will receive the food and original products included in the anime.
The series was announced in November 2020 and will take place in Miyagi Prefecture. In fact, it is one of three projects that are being carried out in collaboration with Misaki no mayoiga and Hula Fulla danceaiming to promote Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima Prefectures. This project is entitled “Zutto Ouen Project 2011 + 10β¦βAnd takes place to commemorate the great earthquake and tsunami of 2011.
Production team
- Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (Fune where amu, Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare) was responsible for directing the anime in the studios ZEXCS.
- Toshizo Nemoto (Log Horizon 2, Macros delta, Juushinki Pandora) was responsible for writing and overseeing the scripts.
- Robico (Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun) covered the original character design while Yuuki Shibata was responsible for the adaptation to the animation and the animation direction.
Summary of Bakuten !!
Shoutarou Futaba has always enjoyed sports, but he never became more than a bench player on his high school baseball team. After seeing a group of gymnasts training in the park, he decided on a whim to go to a rhythmic gymnastics tournament. Although the Rhythmic Gymnastics Club of the Shoushukan Institute shows an exciting performance in the competition, it is in penultimate place due to penalties for missing a 6-man squad. Intrigued by his skill, Shoutarou decides to join Shoushukan in hopes of joining the team despite having no experience in the sport.
The club recruits him alongside Ryouya Misato, a lost gymnast who finished second in a youth tournament. Now with a full six-person roster, the team is ready to compete in the next Inter-High tournament. To achieve this ambitious goal, Shoutarou must learn and master the basics of rhythmic gymnastics while working with his new teammates if Shoushukan is to have a chance at the title.
