Over the past few months we’ve been telling you about the careers in anime of some of the big hits in the dubbing industry, such as Ivo de Palma, the historian Pegasus. On the other hand, there are among the relatively newest voices on the scene Jacopo Calatroni, which has distinguished itself in recent years through collaborations with Devilman Crybaby and My Hero Academia.
Jacopo Calatroni became particularly famous for his lead role in Marvel’s Spider Man, where he spoke to Peter Parker, but also for his collaboration with Call of Duty. But we’re going to focus on his career in the world of anime instead. Here five important roles of Jacopo Calatroni in the dubbing of Japanese operas.
- Yu-Gi-Oh is a franchise that is still going strong in both Japan and Italy. For this reason we could not get rid of the synchronization of all series. With Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V we know the protagonist Yuya Sakaki, voiced by Jacopo Calatroni.
- With the advent of the Alicization arc Sword Art Online made Eugeo’s role important. Calatroni then voiced one of the most important characters in Sword Art Online: Alicization.
- Recently in Italy there has also been the return of Captain Tsubasa thanks to the new anime. Tsubasa’s team has relied on it for a long time Yuko Morisaki, with the goalkeeper voiced by Calatroni.
- Let’s go back to a Main role with Akira Fudo in its latest version, made in Devilman Crybaby. The Netflix show offers us a new take on the historical boy who can turn into Devilman.
- Finally, Calatroni also appeared in My Hero Academia and also in the movie Two Heroes. His role is that of Eijiro Kirishima, the indestructible aspiring hero.
