The developer magician announced that it is developing a new video game for the franchise by Gotoubun no HanayomeBased on the manga written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. The game is titled Gototoubun no Hanayome Summer ~ Summer memories no Gotoubun and will be released on March 25, 2021 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles in Japan.
This title contains an original story that revolves around the “exciting life of the Nakano sisters on a desert island”. The voice actresses participating in the anime series repeat their roles in the game and also sing the musical themes that are titled Minami kaze and Summer days.
Negi Haruba published the manga Gotoubun no Hanayome in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha between August 2017 and February 2020. The publisher put the work together in a total of fourteen volumes and began reprinting the work in color directly in volume format in April 2020, the ninth being planned for December 18.
The piece inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Tezuka Productions, Headed by Satoshi Kuwabara and published in January 2019. A second season is produced by Bibury animation studios and will premiere in January 2021.
