Dragon Ball Super seems to be setting the stage for that Gohan is back with great success who could reach the heights reached during the Cell saga with the next film Dragon Ball Super: Superhero.
The new movie is the the first new Dragon Ball Super anime project in four long years, and it will be exciting to watch not only because of that, but mostly because of the fact that Gohan and Piccolo were introduced as the main protagonists of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Ever since the Majin Buu saga seems to have made Gohan lower his crest, the fighter has never been the same. But that could change with the new film.
That’s no secret Gohan has started to fade into the background as far as action in the Majin Buu saga goes, and had an even bigger dip during the events of the Dragon Ball Super anime.
But with the recent events in the manga and with the announcement of the new movie Returning not only Gohan’s Super Saiyan 2 skills, but also of its condition Supreme Gohan, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero seems to be all about bringing Gohan back to his roots and his AI It peaked with the Cell Saga, where it reached the climax of the entire series. This is particularly evident in the new merchandise artwork for the film, as noted by @SLOplays on Twitter. You can see the post at the bottom of the news.
Gohan’s fans have been demanding that he fight full-time again since he took a backseat throughout the duration of Dragon Ball Super, and they have done so partially satisfied with his return for the Tournament of Power story arc.
But it seems his statement of maintaining that level of power in anime followed in the years after, which is most likely appears to be training Pan with Piccolo’s help. It’s likely that’s why he’s training too. Incidentally, the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero voice actors have released official dialogues from the film, including Gohan and Piccolo.
We can think of that when we see Gohan wears Piccolo’s appearance again and we can see this return from several of his appearances in the film’s marketing campaign, notably the return of his signature in-fight hairstyle. With the new androids appearing in the new film, it’s no coincidence that Gohan returns to who he was in the original Android and Cell saga.
Fingers crossed. That Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a change destined to stay? But what do you think? Are you hoping Gohan returns to the heights of the Cell saga? Is it still possible for him? Besides the return of Gohan in a big way, thanks to the promo images, we can expect another great return in Dragon Super: Super Hero. Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
