Through the official website for the animated adaptation of the light novels Cheat Kusushi no Slow Life – Isekai ni Tsukurou Drugstore, which are written by Kennoji and illustrated by Matsuuni, the first promotional image for the series was revealed. The production team, cast of voices and release date will be announced later.
Kennoji the publication of the novels on the website began Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2016, and the printing press Brave Book from the publisher Hifumi Shobō published the third volume with illustrations from Matsuuni in April 2018. The story follows Reiji, a man frustrated with his current life and his endless work that one day ends up transported to an alternate world. His skill there is to create medicine. Disappointed at not having a combat ability, he discovers that his potions are actually quite powerful, so he decides to open a pharmacy with the money he accumulated.
