Nearly 40 years after debuting on Weekly Shonen Jump, Akira Toriyama’s work continues to garner success, and the author seems to have entrusted some of the management of the film to his son Sasuke for the production of the last film.
The news came from the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero panel organized at Comic Con in San Diego, where the first twenty minutes of the film were previewed for the western market and a new spectacular trailer was shown. The committee was also present Producer Norihiro Hayashidaand stated as stated in the @DbsHype post below that during the production of the film Akira Toriyama asked her only son Sasuke to oversee the whole thingand tending to the legacy of the series.
It is the first time such information about the involvement of Akira Toriyama’s family members has reached the community, and probably Sasuke will be more and more involved in the future in projects related to the Dragon Ball universe, even considering that Toyotaro has a new shoulder for the Dragon Ball Super manga. It seems, therefore, that the sixty-seven-year-old Master Toriyama is slowly moving away from his creation.
