Last year the highly anticipated anime sequel to Dragon Ball Super was released. Although not a series, the success of Dragon Ball Super: Superheroes brought fans of the world of Akira Toriyama back to the cinema to enjoy his historical characters. Even without the presence of Goku and Vegeta, the film was adrenaline pumping and dynamic.

Finally Goten and Trunks have come of age, an event also solidified by the manga written by Toyotaro, but two characters especially like Piccolo and Gohan. The two, too far apart, evolved as fighters, gaining other powers that were latent and never shown prior to Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

Introducing Gohan Beast was Akira Toriyama’s idea which obviously required a new transformation for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The boy has turned into this version that is a bit reminiscent of the old Super Saiyan 2 that defeated Cell, but with white hair and a much more pointed and bristly head, as well as long. There is a lot of Gohan Beast fan art with other styles, but in reality the character was not originally intended to be like this.

As Akira Toriyama said, Gohan Beast had to have a different appearance. And based on these phrases, a fan of the series decided to show everyone what the boy would be like. And here is one Fan art featuring the original Gohan Beast, with bluish skin and hair similar in coloring to the current ones, but shorter and less bristly, without forgetting the absence of eyebrows. So it seems Toriyama was right to go for a different design, what do you think?
