Bungo Stray Dogs is a Japanese manga written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. The series follows the adventures of a special detective agency composed of characters with supernatural powers based on famous Japanese and foreign writers and poets.
The series was very successful and for this reason in recent years it has been adapted into an anime produced by Studio Bones, which has had great success with viewers. The anime has four seasons so far, with the fourth season having recently concluded and all set in the fictional world of Asagiri. The original manga was first published in 2012 and has 19 volumes so far, while the anime debuted in 2016 and adapted the first volumes of the manga. But the fourth season will certainly not be the last.
There Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 has been announced for 2023 and fans of the series can expect another expansion of the fictional world of Yokohama with new characters and new story developments. The staff made this announcement on Wednesday, March 29, revealing several pieces of information, including the first Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Trailer available above where the protagonists still indicate. The same goes for the Bungo Stray Dogs poster, created by lead animator Nobuhiro Arai and seen below, with protagonist Atsushi Nakajima in blue and all other main characters in a double-sided illustration.
Aside from that, Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 will be released in July 2023, so very close, just three months after the conclusion of the fourth season. Ready to return to Yokohama?
