Baki is one of the longest running manga present in Japan. The story is still published after thirty years thanks to direct sequels and spin-offs, and has seen several animated adaptations over time. However, the notoriety for the title in the west came through with the recent implementation Netflix.
in the In fact, the first season of the Baki series came in 2018, based on the manga Baki the Grappler, which was divided into two tranches of 13 episodes each, the first released in June and the second released in December of the same year. The second season of Baki debuted on Netflix on June 6, 2020, with another 13 episodes that further advance the fighter’s story.
Immediately after this final broadcast, Netflix announced the production of Baki Son of Ogre, the third installment based on the manga sequel of the same name to the original. So far there has been no news about the release date of the new episodes, but it has been recently Netflix has confirmed that Baki Son of Ogre will be released in the fall of 2021. That means we’ll see Baki and all the other fighters he’ll face again in action between late September and late December this year.
It is not yet known whether this is the case third season of Bakic it will consist of 13 episodes or if the number is different this time.
