Princess Connect! Re:Dive 2 – Final Chapter: Menu 12 – Reconnect this story to you
The ‘Gourmet Guild‘ prepares to confront Kaiser, with Pecorine hitting her with a ‘princess strike” with full power and Yuuki’s support, leading Kaiser to use Labyrista and Metamorregnant/Neneka to his advantage. Craft a large amount of daggers but are repelled by Karyl, who agrees to help her friends and save Emperor by inviting them to dinner together. But with the power of both seven crownsKaiser succeeds in subduing Pecorine.
Yuuki attacks Kaiser using a very risky strategy to get close to Labyrista and free him from his “prison”. princess knight. Once freed, Labyrista frees Neneka and between them they attack Emperor and manage to injure her. Cornered, Kaiser allows himself to be consumed by the darkness of a the shade Betting it will help him achieve his goal, however, fails.
in front of a huge the shade what to do, the ‘Gourmet Guild‘ is not alone as they are supported by members of other guilds who have helped and even the Order of Knights with their Captain Jun and Sub-Captain Christina. Without having to worry about the exterior, the ‘Gourmet Guild‘ enters the shadow in search of mana to save her, leaving that role to Karyl, but Yuuki is severely injured in the process.
Once again he faces Labyrista and Ameth, but this time Yuuki decides to protect the bonds already created. Return with Pecorine and Kokkoro to help Karyl and rescue her along with Mana. At the end of the battle, Mana is arrested by the Knights and Pecorine recovers everything that was stolen from her.

Another chance / an infinite prison
I can’t completely deny that Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Final Chapter I got excited and excited as I watched the battle scenes and the small results between scenes, trying to decipher the characters’ motivations. However, after replaying the episode several times, I started questioning the same motivations and expressions as I feel they should be associated with the development of this character, but I don’t think I made that point before this one episode reached.
Starting with Yuuki. The “hero” whom Kaiser recognized as the one who had defied her more than once. The character they mentioned along with the antagonist has experienced many times Re: Diving, which had consequences such as his amnesia. something that is inside Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – The last chapter shows them again in a certain way, when Ameth was on the brink of death and faced with the choice of starting everything over again or returning at high risk beings like her, it’s painful to see. Repeating a goal that appears to be in an infinite loop. Just like Labyrista, who is the victim of his “gentleman” (princess knight) the whole time. Although it seems like they have everything under control, danger always stalks Yuuki.
And in this chapter Kokkoro and Pecorine join us. While I can understand the affectation for Kokkoro that has been their constant support, I feel they had a lot to show about their “bond”. For example, change the gradient shown in Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Final chapter adding more “drama” where Yuuki tries to free Labyrista from Kaiser’s control. At the time, Yuuki didn’t escape entirely unscathed, with some injuries (not serious) to his arm due to the pressure inflicted to achieve his goal. Something that would make Kokkoro afraid of losing him. Exactly for this reason I would have expected more prominence from Kokkoro.

For his part, Emperor/Mana/His Majesty (remembering that mana is the “good”), Emperor the antagonist, and His Majesty the the shade), also had to prove a lot. How the three ended up standing closer to Karyl than they thought. But what I think is more important is explaining why Kaiser could put on a sad expression at a point where he had the upper hand. With an inaccurate past, I think this character (with all its facets) is the one who had the most to explain. So much so that a single episode wouldn’t suffice. But what I see as essential is her relationship with Labyrista as they seemed quite close as if they were good friends or once were.
About her relationship with Karyl and how she was repeatedly “betrayed” by her. Why he wanted to take everything away from Pecorine. And why his rivalry with Yuuki was like that. Something that might make a little sense with what Labyrista mentions Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Final chapter that could include “jealousy” on the part of Manas towards Yuuki due to the different bonds they could create. While Yuuki could generate them quickly, due to her great power, Mana was the complete opposite and caused fear in others. Failure to create bonds triggered the “abyss of despair” that consumed them due to dull days and dull customs, and brought the “prescribed end”. Restart everything in search of his utopia, but never achieve it.

In the end, Yuuki and Mana felt like they were in the same place, in an infinite prison, in an eternal loop that repeated countless times with almost the same ending. And from which, for them to come out, one of the two should not survive. Or at least that’s how I felt. This naturally led me to further imagine my own illusion (cough cough chuuni cough cough) of “perfect evolution”, with the sacrifice of mana to save Yuuki and as redemption in Karyl’s words. The happy ending wasn’t too bad though, even if it was with mana.
The plot
Unlike the first season I think Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 It was much more focused on the main story without so many “filler” chapters. However, the story still has a lot to contribute, as does the fact that there were also many things to be clarified.
For example, mentioning sun tower and Kaiser chained her up and even tried to bring her down on Landosol. First mentioned in a memory of Yuuki with his other team as a capture/exploration objective. But all of this remains up in the air until she is chained by Kaiser in this final battle arc. Showing the concern of citizens about such an event, without fully explaining why. And of course the biggest detail would be Kaiser’s mention of Minerva in the towerHowever, this character is even more mysterious than Yuuki and Kaiser’s past and only shows his silhouette. All of this could also provide a plot for a continuation of the story regardless of the type of production third season, OVAs, to as or Movie.

I hope to continue to see more of this Princess Connect! Re: Diving Anime adapted. But this second season ended with a happy ending, a little open (which keeps my hopes up) but with an ending. There is no more kingdom to save or anything to save.
That’s why I can only think of them sun tower to “start” a new action. At that point, I consider the recovery of Landosol to be complete.
Final opinion from Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2
I must confess that this second season of “Princess Connect! Re: Diving“Even if it wasn’t so much”fan service” Exploiting the large number of female characters in the story. Without a chapter on the beach for example. Since I’m more focused on pushing the main story forward, I appreciate that it is. That yes, the fan service was not entirely absent.
The plot developed quite well in my opinion, especially during the previous episodes to get to this end. However, I think that some of the characters didn’t have a very successful development. Back to the topic of how I feel Jun’s arc should have lasted longer, and the introduction of the ‘Guild Pointed Wings‘ was ‘unnecessary’, in the end they didn’t create much prominence, they didn’t even appear as reinforcements against them the shade Giant. It was fun to watch their members perform, but for me they had too much screen time that could have been used in other ways. the departure guild as a simple cameo, so to speak.
I found the technical details such as animation, effects, music etc. extremely good. Proof of the high quality of Cygames images in the adjustment. With some better quality moments than others, but always to a standard that I don’t think they’ve lowered. Of course I would have liked to have seen the highest quality shown in Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 However, throughout the season, getting left at the important moments has been the essence.

Considering that, my personal rating for Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 it is 9/10. I liked this sequel a lot better than the first season, but it’s not perfect. It had good progress in the main story but inconsistent development in some characters. While the first season was heavily focused on comedic moments, this could keep the series alive along with its great potential orphansthis sequel was exactly the other “path” I remember from the end of the first season, with a more plot-oriented story and the introduction of characters that would give it better progression.
Interestingly, because of this “path change,” I don’t feel like those who liked the first will necessarily like this second season. However, I would recommend it as a great fantasy anime.
Of course I felt that the story was shown in Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 There were more chapters, 13 or 14 in total. Just to expand and detail the interactions that ultimately mattered a bit more, for example the conversation between Kasumi and Yuni. It only appears as “Extra”. Of course, it wasn’t necessary to add an entire episode for this, but little by little, by adding more “extended scenes”, I think that at least the time of one more chapter was added.
