Gou Tanabe has started a manga adaptation project based on the works of horror writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft. The last work of the mangaka is justified The shadow over Innsmouth and will soon peak.
The monthly Comic Beam, published by Kadokawa, announced the upcoming high point of the story The shadow over Innsmouth, known in Italy as The Mask of Innsmouth.
The manga, which began in May 2020, follows the plot of the novel by Lovecraft tells the story of a student’s journey to New England, who eventually drives to Innsmouth Harbor, a place where he meets strange characters and experiences disturbing events.
The customization is part of a large project that has started Gou Tanabe with Il Mastino and Altre Storie, published from 2009, with the intention of translating the author’s numerous stories from the early 1900s into a manga version. Among the various works that we remember are The Color Come from Space, The Dweller of the Darkness, and The Shadow Come from Time The mountains of madness, consisting of four volumes and the adaptation of the famous The Call of Cthulhu, all published in Italy by J-pop.
