Eiichiro Oda absorbed many characters throughout the Monkey D. Luffy and his companions pirate epic ONE PIECE, many of whom return regularly to thwart the protagonists’ plans. Among them is a powerful pirate, former member of the Fleet of Seven and co-founder of the Cross Guild: Crocodile.

In the special volume ONE PIECE 10th Treasures, released in 2007, some of the assistants who worked on the series talked about how complicated and time-consuming it was to draw Crocodile’s sand-related abilities every time.
