One of the industry’s most beloved isekai, which helped spread the genre around the world, is about to return to the small screen. After the first speculation that during the anime Japan 2023, the official confirmation has finally arrived. Here is the first official trailer for the third season of Re: zero.
After various manga adaptations and transpositions, the body of work written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin’ichiro Otsuka now spans more than 30 novels, and it doesn’t seem destined to stop any time soon. There Story of Hikikomori Subaru Natsukiwho is suddenly transported to a fantasy world where he will form a strong bond with the half-elf Emilia, will also be resumed on the screens, as confirmed by some of Kodansha’s key characters during the panel dedicated to the series during Anime Japan 2023.
Confirmation of production, by the Animation Studio White Fox, was accompanied by a two-minute trailer, which you can see at the top of the page. In the first half of the promotional video, we notice the transition from white to black of the pen, anticipating the arrival of the antagonists, to which Subaru and his companions turn their worried and determined looks.
At this time, neither a release date nor a generic timeframe has been confirmed in which the third season of the anime could appear, so we can assume that the production is still in the early stages and that could arrive sometime in 2024. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
