The original anime was reported Akudama Drive will have a manga adaptation that will begin to be published from next July 7 on the website Rent!.

The adaptation will be carried out by Rokurou Ogaki, who previously published the manga Hourousha, in June 2015; and the manga adaptation of The Unlimited: Hyoubu Kyousuke, between March 2013 and May 2015.

Furthermore, the original anime Akudama Drive is scheduled to premiere in October of this year, after being delayed from its original date, in July, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.

  • Yoshifumi Sasahara (Kuzu no Honkai, Kino no Tabi) serves as assistant director,
  • Norimitsu Kaihou (Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen: Mirai Hen, Gakkou Gurashi!) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
  • Cindy H. Yamauchi is adapting the original character designs of Rui Komatsuzaki to animation.
  • Aida Shigekazu is in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.
