It was reported that the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Yuuki Tabata, Black clover, will resume its regular broadcast with episode # 133 on July 7.

The series had suspended airing new episodes since mid-April due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.

The anime has been broadcast since October 2017, and was originally announced with only 51 episodes. The manga written and illustrated by Yuuki Tabata began to be published in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in February 2015. The publisher published the twenty-third compilation volume on January 4.

Production team

  • Tatsuya Yoshihara (Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, Yoru no Yatterman, Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san, Long Riders!) is directing the anime on Studio Pierrot.
  • Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Yoru no Yatterman) is responsible for the composition of the series.
  • Itsuko Takeda (Ristorante Paradiso, Level E, Blue drop) is the character designer and Kumiko Tokunaga (second season of Kingdom) is the sub-character designer.
  • Minako Seki (Gin no Guardian, Kingdom) is composing the soundtrack.

Synopsis of Black Clover

In a world full of magic, two children are abandoned the same day in a church, Asta and Yuno. While Yuno grows up demonstrating immense power, Asta dreams of becoming the greatest magician of all time. However, it seems to be the only one on earth that lacks magical power.
