On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Sui Ishida, Tokyo Ghoul: re, The launch of two Blu-ray BOXs was announced for each of the series’ seasons.

Both Blu-ray BOX will be released on September 30 as a limited edition product, with the first containing the first twelve episodes and the second with the other twelve. The packages will be priced individually at 24,200 yen (approximately $ 225).

For his part, Ishida began publishing the manga in the magazine. Weekly Young Jump from the publisher Shueisha in October 2014, and completed it in July 2018 with a total of 16 published compilation volumes.

The play inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by Studio Pierrot, under the direction of Toshinori Watanabe and scripts written by Chuuji Masakano, released in April 2018.
