On the official page for the spin-off manga from the multimedia franchise SSSS.Gridman, written and illustrated by Misaki Sakoand titled Shinseiki Chuugakusei no Shitsuji Cafethe cover of the first compilation volume was unveiled, to be released in Japan on October 8th.

Sako began to publish the manga in the magazine Monthly Shonen Champion from the publisher Akita Shoten on May 2nd. The spin-off story begins when Rikka wakes up one day to discover that her family's jewelry store has been converted into a butler cafΓ©. The Neon Genesis Academy students play the main role as butlers in the play.

On the other hand, SSSS.Gridman is an anime series based on the 1993 Tokusatsu series. Choujin Gridman. The twelve-episode series was produced by studios Trigger, Headed by Akira Amemiya and scripts from Keiichi Hasegawa, released in October 2018. Production of a sequel entitled SSSS.Dynazenon it is confirmed.

Synopsis of SSSS.Gridman

Yuuta Hibiki wakes up in Rikka Takarada's room and realizes two things: he has no memories and can hear a mysterious voice calling him from a nearby room. On closer inspection he finds a robot pretending to be a Hyper Agent Gridman behind an old computer. To Yuuta's surprise, Rikka mentions that she can't hear Gridman and that she can't see the menacing monsters above a thick fog that surrounds the city outside.

Another giant monster materializes in the city and wreaks havoc. Amid the confusion, Yuuta is withdrawn from the old computer and eventually merges with Gridman. Suddenly he appears in the middle of the battle and is forced to fight the monster. Together with RIkka and his partner Shou Utsumi, Yuuta forms the "Gridman Alliance" in order to defeat the monsters that plague the city and to find those responsible for their appearance.
