ONE PIECE It’s a very long-lasting job, both in terms of the animated adaptation and in terms of the original paper counterpart. Eiichiro Oda has indeed sketched an imposing framework for the narrative, the pieces of which gradually take place in the story. But how fast is the TV series going compared to the manga?

Some time ago we showed you an average of the chapters adjusted for each episode according to the different ONE PIECE saga. However, over time, the anime has more or less gotten closer to the original comic that TOEI animation had to fall back on a list due to the so-called fillers or filler piles. Currently, both the anime and manga venture into the story within Wano’s narrative arc, and there aren’t that many episodes separating the anime from the comic, around 40 chapters.

A fan, a certain one HotRodster650, drew how many chapters were adapted episode by episode from the television series. The result is impressive as it tracks both fill and no fill bets and allows you to delineate the curve that sums up how TOEI animation has slowed the narrative progressively over the years. In fact, the studio is currently adjusting roughly 3/4 of each chapter in each episode to give the manga a reasonable margin of advantage.

Before you say goodbye, we invite you to watch the titles of the next episodes of ONE PIECE. And you, instead, what do you think of this graphic? Let us know with a comment below.
