Despite one weekend less, Demon Slayer is still the manga that sold the most in January 2021 17.1 million copies were placed against the 6.2 million of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Jujutsu Kaisen, however, saw a 235% increase in sales, a chilling number that certainly owes some of the credit to MAPPA’s excellent work on the anime series. Beating the demon slayer remains utopian, but these numbers A good sign for the anime’s second season renewal.
