Tatsuki Fujimoto he turns out to be a generational talent. In recent years, the mangaka has become a popular name thanks to Chainsaw Man, but his best-selling series doesn’t do enough to define him. His recent releases have propelled Fujimoto from shonen star to manga superstar.
And now his latest special Goodbye Eri tops the list of best manga this year with over 2.5 million views in just one day. For those who need some context, the author of Chainsaw Man released a 200-page one-shot this week, courtesy of Shonen Jump. Shueisha released the chapter digitally after teasing fans about the project for a few weeks.
Of course, fans couldn’t wait to find out what Fujimoto had in mind, and the following posts show how obsessed readers are with the project. Finally, Fujimoto is a rare artist type who can handle both action and introspection. His work on chainsaw man it mixes the two up quite significantly, including a lot of violence and a lot of gore.
As for this new one-shot, Goodbye Eri It more often deals with real-life scenes, but its dark background is quintessential Fujimoto. And now fans can’t wait for Shueisha to release this latest manga in print for it to land on their shelves at home.

I really enjoyed Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Sayonara Eri. I don’t want to spoil too much but he skillfully played with my expectations and knowledge of the tropics to the point where I was becoming unsure of what and who is real now. Def buy the Tankobon
