Goku’s story continued in Dragon Ball great, the midquel set after Majin Buu’s defeat, dramatically expanding the universe created by Akira Toriyama in the ’80s and ’90s. Goku’s goal has always remained the same: to become the strongest and face off against increasingly powerful opponents, but has anything changed?

Although Goku generally always strives to train, and the same goes for Vegeta, her ambitions sometimes cross with the desire to dominate her enemies. First it was about defeating Jiren in the Tournament of Power, then the hard match with Molo took place instead, and finally Granolah and Gas. The last two were difficult to complete in the latest Dragon Ball Super saga dedicated to the survivor of Cerelean. And now instead? What is Goku and Vegeta’s goal??

Aside from the fact that the two Saiyans are always looking to get stronger and outperform, there is one enemy at the moment that manages to overpower them with ease. The strongest in Dragon Ball Super is Frieza, the alien and galactic emperor who has unlocked the black transformation and become even more powerful than before. To explain who want to surpass Goku and Vegeta is the first page of Dragon Ball Super 88, with the chapter that summarizes how the two Saiyans returned to the planet of Beerus to be able to train with the god of destruction and with the angel Whis to become even stronger and stronger hone the divine techniques of Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego.

Consequently Goku and Vegeta’s goal is to defeat Black Frieza. However, at the moment it looks like the two Saiyans will be training for quite a while and therefore it won’t be possible to hand test their progress for several months. However, the next saga will focus on Goten and Trunks and their growth.
