BOFURI Synopsis: I don’t want to get hurt, so I’ll maximize my defense

After an enthusiastic invitation from her friend, Kaede Honjou reluctantly agrees to try New World Online, a hugely popular VRMMO played by thousands of people in Japan. She names her character Maple and sets off. As a beginner in games like this, you assign all of your stat points to vitality and wish you didn’t feel any pain in your experience. Without a single point in any other state, Maple offers an impenetrable defense but cannot move fast or hit hard.

This doesn’t end badly for them, however, as Maple gains powerful abilities like Total Defense, Poison Immunity, and Devour. These skills, along with the insanely powerful equipment she has gathered, allow her to take out most enemies with a single hit. After a few days of playing, Maple finished third in an event hosted from the entire server and earned the reputation of an immortal and absurdly broken gamer.
