In the twenty-fourth year issue of Weekly Shonen Champion magazine, published by Akita Shoten, it was announced that the manga Baki-Dou will take a little break. Keisuke Itagaki's work will skip two issues of Weekly Shonen Champion and then return to Volume 27 of the magazine on June 3.

Released from 1991 to 1999, the original grappler Baki forever featured the Shonen martial artsand sold over 63 million copies. Baki-Dou is the fourth manga in the series and follows on from New Grappler Baki and Hanma Baki, which were released in 1999 and 2005, respectively.

With this new work, which started in October 2018 at the end of the first part, Baki is facing the oldest and most powerful "God of Sumo" in Japan.
