On the official Twitter account for the studio original anime MAPPA, Zombieland Saga: Revengeshared a sketch released by the studios MAPPA to commemorate the broadcast of the sixth episode of the series. This time there were no other illustrations by other members of the production.
director Munehisa Sakai shared an illustration by the artist Soma Soutaro not related to the episode containing the text: “Sakura Minamoto is confused by this, as Ai Mizuno has now deepened her friendship with the determined Junko.».
On the other hand, the twelve episodes of the first season Zombieland saga was released in Japan in October 2018 with the production of the studios MAPPA, Headed by Munehisa Sakai and scripts written by Shigeru Murakoshi. Zombieland Saga Synopsis
Sakura Minamoto dreams of becoming an idol. Unfortunately, reality hits her like a truck (literally) and she dies in a sudden car accident. Ten years later, she wakes up in Saga Prefecture and becomes a zombie with no memory of her past. While accepting her new fate, she meets a man named Koutarou Tatsumi, who explains that he resurrected her and six other girls from other eras as zombies in an effort to economically revive Saga Prefecture by creating a group of idols.
Koutarou takes on the role of an aggressive manager and starts planning events. The girls finally accept it and decide to name their idol group “Franchouchou”. An absurdly comical take on the anime idol genre, Zombieland Saga tells the poignant story of Franchouchou saving the Saga Prefecture while hiding his identity as zombies and rediscovering their past.
