On the official page for the animated adaptation of the manga by Ryousuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru miyoshi, Yuukoku no moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot) announced the production of a new two-episode OVA that will feature an original story, the details of which will be announced shortly. The press release also stated that there will be a live event in Tokyo on March 5, 2022 with the leading voice, so important announcements for the franchise can be expected.
The animated adaptation had a total of 24 episodes, eleven of which were broadcast in the fall 2020 season (October-December) and thirteen in the spring 2021 season (April-June) Funimation in the West. Eventually, Ryousuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi started publishing the manga in the magazine. Jump SQ from the publisher Shueisha in August 2016.

- Toru Ookubo (Sengoku Basara, Tokimeki Restaurant ☆☆☆ MIRACLE6 movie) was responsible for character design and animation direction.
- Gou-Zappa (Ahiru no Sora, Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai) and Taku kishimoto (Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Fugou Keiji: Credit: Unlimited) were responsible for writing and overseeing the scripts.
Yuukoku no Moriarty Synopsis
At the end of the 19th century, Britain is the greatest empire the world has ever seen. Hidden in its success, the nation's rigid economic hierarchy dictates the value of life on the basis of status and wealth alone. Unsurprisingly, the system favors the aristocracy at the top and makes it impossible for the working class to climb the ranks.
William James Moriarty, the second son of the Moriarty family, lives as a normal nobleman and is also an advisor to the common people to help them and solve their problems. But deep down there is a desire to destroy the current structure that dominates British society and those who benefit from it. Together with their brothers Albert and Louis, the trio will do everything in their power to change the filthy world in which they live, even if blood has to be shed.
