After an initial animated version of Kazuki Takahashi's manga, there were numerous series of Yu-Gi-Oh! mainly produced to promote the card game. But who will be the most cherished protagonist? Konami answers us thanks to a survey.

Many of us will remember it Yugi Muto, the opera's first historical protagonist, but over the years new highly skilled duelists have entered the scene and we wondered who among them could be the fans' favorite. Now we finally have an answer thanks to Konami and a poll in which he asked fans to submit a ranking of their favorite protagonists.

The voting results confirm Yugi in the first place, while in the last places we find newer characters like Yusaku Fujiki. Here are the results:

  • Yugi: 58.3%
  • Jaden: 12.5%
  • Yusei: 12.5%
  • Yuma: 7.6%
  • Yuya: 7.1%
  • Yusaku: 2.0%

We therefore see Jaden in second place, moving away from the first position of well over 40% underlines the great importance that the saga's first protagonist has for the fans.

However, many enthusiasts seem to disagree with these results, since at the time of the brand's final series Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, was just getting started and seems to have gained quite a bit of popularity in recent years. Because of this, in the event that a new investigation is proposed, who is the best protagonist is believed that Yusaku could get more votes.

What do you think about it? Who is your favorite protagonist? Let us know in the comments.

I also remind you that the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! is available on Netflix with Italian dubbing, and I bring you an article about a drawing made by the author of Yu-Gi-Oh!
