The adventure aimed at changing the history of Wolverine has begun. With the release of the X Deaths of Wolverine #1 preview, we’re discovering that this storyline isn’t just about the life of the claw mutant: it actually seems so One of the historical characters of the X-Men comics took the hours.
Wolverine relived the most iconic moments of his life in X Lives of Wolverine #1, already available in the US. While X Deaths of Wolverine #1 being placed as a direct continuation of this story (the release of the two series will alternate week-to-week), the preview released exclusively by CBR doesn’t see Logan’s presence at all, but focuses on the character of Moira.
Moira MacTaggert is a historical supporting actress in the X-Men titles created by Chris Claremont in 1975. Starting from the House of X and Powers of X series, Moira has acquired an even greater importance: she is in fact one of the characters who possibly made the creation of Krakoa, the mutant nation. In the preview It seems that Moira, who is on the run from Xavier and Magneto for some reason, can counter his death.
Both X Lives of Wolverine and X Deaths of Wolverine will consist of five numbers, but they represent a single story divided into ten parts. X Deaths of Wolverine #1, written by Benjamin Percy and illustrated by Federico Vicentini, will be released in the United States on January 26, 2022.
