Cartoonist Ryan Stegman shared his illustration on Instagram, published as a variant of the cover of X Deaths of Wolverine #5, showing an entirely new version of Logan: it’s a Wolverine in an “Asgardian” sauce born from an idea of ββthe artist who has never seen the light.
With the release of X Deaths of Wolverine #5, available starting today in American comics, the storyline that aims to change Wolverine’s history forever comes to an end. The version of the character suggested on Stegman’s variant cover is oddly enough However, it has nothing to do with the story proposed in the register.
“I have an idea for a story for Marvel that I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on, so I’m drawing it here“Stegman explains on Instagram.”The general idea is that Wolverine dies early in the story. Thus, the Norns at Yggdrasil’s base on Asgard are warned of the need to revive this new spirit. But when you look at Logan’s story, you think, “Why this guy? From what we see he’s one of the villains.’ But the being who wants to revive him insists that Wolverine will play a key role in saving the multiverse. So they finally agree to resurrect him in a bubble on Asgard where he must face heroic trials to prove he is worthy of resurrection. Will he make it?
