The official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels by Kei Sazane and illustrated by neco, "Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?" (Naze Boku no Sekai wo Daremo Oboeteinai no ka?), dropped a hype bomb with its first promotional image. The press release was buzzing with production details and the voice cast lineup, setting the scene for what's sure to be a banger of a show.

Since Sazane and neco kicked off the light novels back in July 2017, they've been on a roll until the series wrapped in August 2020, published by MF Bunko J of Media Factory. The legacy continues with a manga adaptation by Arikan, slicing through the pages of Monthly Comic Alive from Kadokawa since February 2018, stacking up nine volumes to date.

Synopsis of Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?

"Why does no one recall the real world...!" In an era where the epic rivalry of five tribes vying for dominance ended with humanity's win under hero Sid's lead, the world "overwrites" itself before Kai's eyes. In this altered reality, humans lost the tribal wars without Sid, leaving dragons and demons in charge, with Kai forgotten by all. But after meeting the enigmatic Rinne, Kai vows to shatter this rewritten fate. In a hero-less world, he inherits the hero's sword and martial arts, challenging the reigning mighty races.
