When Earth is threatened by a fleet of alien invaders known as the Oni, Ataru is chosen to represent humanity in a duel against one of them. It is fortunate for Ataru that the duel is actually a game of tag and his opponent is Lum, the daughter of the Oni leader, who puts her personal dignity above victory as Ataru accidentally removes her torso and bikini and thus gets her the victory. However, misfortune strikes again when Lum misinterprets Ataru’s promise to marry his girlfriend, Shinobu Miyake, as wanting to marry Lum and decides she likes the idea. She exerts her influence as an alien princess and moves in with him.
