On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Katarina and illustrated by Ryousuke Fuji, Shangri-La Frontier: Crappy Game Hunter challenges God-Tier Game, the main promotional video for the project was unveiled. The video confirms that the premiere is planned for next October in Japanand shows the voice of for the first time Yuma Uchida as the protagonist of this story.

For his part, Fuji began publishing the manga. Shangri-La border in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine from the publisher kodansha in July 2020. The manga is based on the novel series of the same name written by Katarinapublished through the website Shoutsuka ni Narou since May 2017. Katarina has also written another series of novels published in her own Weekly Shōnen Magazine.
