A leak from the next issue of the magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine shared by a popular Japanese leaker Ryokutyya reported that the second season of the anime adaptation of Tokyo Avengerstitled as Tokyo Avengers: Seiya Kessen-hen (Tokyo Avengers: Christmas Showdown) is scheduled for release in Japan in January 2023. Production stays in the studios LIDEN FILMS and the team remains "almost unchanged".

A press release confirmed this information and revealed the first promotional image of this second season, accompanied by a special video celebrating the fact that the band Tokyo ManjiProtagonist of the franchise, according to the original story, was founded on June 19th.

Tokyo Avengers

The leak also reported this Masaya Fukunishi was made the new voice of Ken "Draken" Ryuuguujiafter departure from Tatsuhisa Suzuki. Fukunishi has played minor roles like Liu in Nomad: Megalo Box 2 and immersed blue period. This information was confirmed by the press release, and you can hear this new voice in the video above.

After being forced to relive him on the same day his downward spiral began, Takemichi encounters Hinata's little brother. Without thinking, he admits his apparent death before returning to the past. Takemichi urges him to protect his sister before inexplicably returning to the future. Miraculously, he's not dead. Stranger still, the future has changed. It seems that Takemichi can change the passage of time. Given the chance to prevent his ex-girlfriend's tragic death at the hands of Tokyo's Manji Gang, Takemichi decides to fly through time to change the course of the future.
