The debut of the second season of Crafted in the Abyss gets closer. The production signed by Kinema Citrus will return to Japan from July 6, 2022, a date confirmed by the recent third trailer of Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, which also revealed the reopening song, or “Katachi“by Riko Azuna.

After a first season consisting of 13 episodes and a film entitled Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, then the adventures of Reg and Riko return in search of the latter’s mother in the abyss among strange creatures and bizarre figures. The anime is based on the manga of the same name Akihito Tsukushistarted in 2012 and is still published in the Japanese magazine Web Comic Assortment.

Kinema Citrus, the studio producing the anime Made in Abyss, has announced the number of episodes of the second season, in addition to launching the Blu-ray edition of the same name. Made in Abyss 2 will consist of 12 episodes in totalwhich will be split into two collector’s Blu-ray boxes after the broadcast.

Added to the 13 episodes already produced, Made in Abyss will have a total of 25 episodes, in addition to the film bridging the two seasons.
