The studies Toei animation announced the premiere of a pilot film entitled "SHAREDOL"As part of a collaboration with the team of young producers, SOTSU. The premiere on YouTube is scheduled for October 25th and the press release contained a variety of still images.
The press release states that this project is a mixture of "The Edo Period and Idols"And writes:"Set in the Kansei period of the Edo period (1603-1868), a time when entertainment was restricted, the story depicts the activities of the "idols" of a group of girls living with their own problems. The central question is: why not include a modern concept in a story of the past?ยป. It shows scenes of Edo period girls dressed in Japanese idol costumes performing live under the light of traditional Japanese lanterns.
Although it is a pilot film, the future development of the project will be based on the reaction of anime fans and potential business partners to the concept and visual presentation of this animation. The frames are cut out with pictures of girls, samurai, Mount Fuji and cityscapes. The character setup of "Girl A" (Daughter of a tea house) appearing on stage, including her kimono outfit.
