The debut of a new cast of the Thunderbolts, Kurt Busiek’s team of villains and anti-heroes founded in 1997, is fast approaching. The new series, written by Jim Zub and illustrated by Sean Izaakse, launches in July, but thanks for releasing a preview we have the opportunity to give a first look at the new team in action.

The new Thunderbolts under Hawkeye’s leadership appear to have abandoned their controversial nature: In fact, the new team consists entirely of heroes. The preview features Hawkeye, America Chavez, Spectrum, Power Man, Persuasion, and Gutsen Glory amidst their exploits. The first table also sees the presence of Abomination.

Marvel Comics has also published third issue covers and summaries: In Thunderbolts #3, the heroes will face off against the Super Apes, a group of super-powered apes who originally debuted in 1963’s Fantastic Four #13 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Thunderbolts #1 will be released in the United States on July 6, 2022, with the third edition expected to arrive in August. We share the preview of the first issue belowalong with the cover of Thunderbolts #3 by Sean Izaakse.

The new Thunderbolts line-up also includes a character who will soon debut in live-action in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie: Here’s a promotional graphic dedicated to America Chavez.
