With the explosion of the anime and manga phenomenon, several fans came online to showcase their projects. Those who dive into the classic designs and those who try something special like forging weapons seen throughout the anime. That Works Forge decided to give one a try The seven deadly sins.

The blacksmiths Matt Stagmer and Ilya Alekseyev have recreated the Chastiefol spear, a weapon King used during the Seven Deadly Sins. The video that you can see above is 16 minutes in duration. Here are shown all of the processing steps that led to this character’s sacred treasure becoming real.

Matt and Ilya used so many different techniques for make Chastiefol with H13 steel abrasion-resistant and highly durable, proving again that blacksmithing survives and can be very satisfactory. Finally, the duo starts the classic test of the weapon, and indeed in the finale we see the test of cutting and destroying various objects.

A weapon that is certainly made for the best of cosplay, like that of Maurizio Merluzzo who plays Escanor. Meanwhile, the new season’s release date is getting closer: Here’s a key frame from The Seven Deadly Sins: Fundo no Shinpan.
