The story of the manga from The seven deadly sins ended in 2020, so for over two years. While Nakaba Suzuki decided to focus on the sequel Four Knights of Apocalypse, set 16 years after the end of the Great War Against Demons, the situation at the animated level was very different.

After the saga, first came the film The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light, after which Netflix decided to further expand the universe with a unique project that will appear exclusively on the streaming platform. The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh will be available on Netflix in December 2022a film split into two parts, the second of which has no release date yet.

The protagonist this time is Tristan, the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, who is repeated in both a child and boy version. During Netflix Geeked Week, the third day of which was entirely dedicated to the animation sector, the platform unveiled new character designs and confirmed that Yuki Kaji will reprise the role of Meliodas, while Tristan will have the voice of Mikako Tomatsu (as a child) first. and then that of Ayumu Murase (as a boy).
